Rowan Ibbeken (b. 1996) is a British 3D artist, architectural & interior designer, photographer and filmmaker based in London. Rowan attended the University of Bath and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering with Upper Second Class Honours in 2019. He has since used the mathematical and software knowledge learned during his degree to realise his complex, photorealistic 3D projects.

Rowan produces cinematic, photorealistic renderings and animations for architecture and interior design projects. Whilst many architectural visualisation animations can often feel sterile, artificial or over-processed, Rowan’s are lush, vibrant and completely realistic, from the subtle, erratic motion of palm fronds in a tropical wind to the movement of rain droplets on a window.

He has extensive experience in 3D modelling, rendering and visual effects, including Blender, Houdini, Unreal Engine and Marvelous Designer. He is also an experienced user of the Adobe Creative Suite and Da Vinci Resolve.

Unless otherwise stated, Rowan has designed the interior and external architecture of all the projects shown in his portfolio.

Rowan’s film, ‘Refuge de Charmotane’, was longlisted for Architecture video of the year at the 2022 Dezeen Awards.

Rowan is available for interior design and architectural visualisation commissions. For enquiries please use [email protected].

Rowan’s photographic work covers a variety of genres, with a particular focus on documentary and travel photography. He has been a finalist in multiple photographic competitions, including the Top 20 of the Focus Photo LA competition, and his work has been exhibited in various galleries including Studio 61 in London and the Elizabeth Houston Gallery in New York.
